Back for its 7th year, Kings and Queens of Corbet’s at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is locked in for February 3 – 10, 2024. Known for being one of the rowdiest events in skiing, Kings & Queens is sure to draw a big crowd.
The winners in each of the four categories (Men’s Snowboard, Men’s Ski, Women’s Snowboard, Women’s Ski) will be awarded $5,000, while the second-place finishers will take home $3,000 and the third-place finishers will claim $2,000. This year, Jackson announced that a $5,000 bonus will be given to the highest-scoring male and female athlete regardless of discipline, and those two competitors will be crowned the King and Queen of Corbet’s.

Alex Hackel
2x X Games Medalist, 3rd place Kings & Queens 2023
Alex Hackel is a two-time X Games medalist hailing from Boston, MA. Hackel has made a name for himself in the freeskiing scene with his creative film parts with The Bunch.

Blake Wilson
Born in Bethel, ME, Blake grew up skiing at Sunday River Resort. His love of skiing led him to compete in mogul skiing and slopestyle for ten years. When he stopped competing, he found an affinity for big mountain terrain after seeing its potential in Utah. Wilson won the 2019 Level 1 SuperUnknown contest and was able to ski among legends in ski films from Level 1, TGR and Faction Skis, among others. He currently calls Salt Lake City, UT, home, where he enjoys skiing and producing content with friends.

Cam Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick is a professional snowboarder, born and raised in Jackson, WY. He started skiing at the age of two with the support of his dad who was on the JHMR Ski Patrol. Fitzpatrick switched to snowboarding at the age of six, where he began to dream of becoming a professional snowboarder. Fitzpatrick started competing at a young age and eventually became more interested in the filming side of the sport because he grew up watching snowboard videos of idols he’d looked up to. He can be found in household name films like Red Bull Media House’s “The Fourth Phase” and Arbor Snowboards’ film “Cosa Nostra.” More recently, Cam has been filming with the “This is Us In” Crew, traveling the world, and most recently releasing the movie “Day Job.”

Claire McPherson
2023 Queen of Corbet’s
McPherson grew up skiing in Fernie, BC, which more than prepared her for her formative years competing on the Freeride Junior World Tour. She took home the win at the World Championships in 2020 and backed up her performance in 2021 with a 3rd place podium finish. Now stepping up to the next level, McPherson has begun competing in the Freeride World Qualifier and is ready to leave her mark on K&Q 2023. In the summers, Claire works as a Wildland Firefighter.

Cooper Branham
Branham was born and raised in Gig Harbor, WA, where he learned to board at age four. He moved to Colorado to attend CU Boulder, where he began riding in the Rocky Mountains and competed in freeride. With his passion for the sport growing, he landed sponsorships with Satellite Boardshop in Boulder and Burton Snowboards. These past three seasons, he and Cam Fitzpatrick and their crew produced “Day Job” a snowboard film. He is now hooked on blending his background in skating and park riding with the Wyoming backcountry.

Erika Vikander
Freeride World Tour Silver 2022, Bronze 2020 & 2021
Ranked as one of the top freeride snowboarders in the world, Vikander spent the last six seasons competing on the Freeride World Tour as the only female snowboarder from the US. With 19 podiums, multiple wins and multiple overall top-three rankings, she is a force to be reckoned with in the competitive world of snowboarding. Stepping away from the FWT this season, she is working on her own film project while also spending time in Japan guiding and filming. A true competitor at heart, she just couldn’t stay away from all competitions and is excited to get to compete at Kings and Queens again.

Grant Giller

Growing up in Colorado, Giller started his snowboard career competing in Slopestyle contests. After taking his snowboarding skills to the backcountry and the streets with his web series, “Loose Boardin’.” He earned Superpark Standout in 2019. Most recently has filmed with the “This is Us In” Crew on their movie “Day Job” and his own solo project “Geometricks.”

Fostvedt is a backcountry skier and snowmobiler, born and raised in Sun Valley, ID. Known affectionately as “Crazy Karl,” he is known for pushing the sport and trying to expand on what he or anyone else had ever done. Beyond skiing, he also owns a production company called Native Earth Productions. He has also been featured in movies from MSP Films and Teton Gravity Research, among others.

Mac Forehand
2023 Winter X Games Big Air Gold, Slopestyle Silver, 2022 Winter Olympian
Freestyle skier Mac Forehand made history in 2019 by winning the overall World Cup Title in Slopestyle at just 17 years old. It was his first full season competing on the World Cup circuit and from the moment he placed second in Stubai, Austria, he never looked back. Most recently he won Gold in Big Air and Silver in Slopestyle at X Games 2023, Forehand is looking to switch gears and add a crown to his trophy shelf in 2024.

Lemery has freeriding in his blood. This Vermont-grown snowboarder recently made Mt. Bachelor home and has been creating waves in the snowboard industry ever since. Consistently posting mind-blowing clips to Instagram, like his insane back 180 to a highspeed switch run out, Lemery rides with the grit it takes to grab any audience’s attention.

Torgeir Bergrem
2x Olympian, X Games Bronze Big Air 2017
When it comes to naming the most influential snowboarders out of Scandinavia, Torgeir Bergrem inevitably enters the conversation. A two-time Olympian and certified X Games medalist, the Norwegian ripper is currently at the forefront of a style renaissance in snowboarding. Born and raised in Trondheim, Torgeir picked up his first board at the young age of 9 and never slowed down since. Inspired by legends such as Travis Rice and Norwegian trailblazer Terje Haakonsen, he began turning heads on the competition circuit in 2004 with his all-round talent and fluent, surf-inspired style. A regular on the World Snowboard Tour since 2006, Torgeir proved that he can ‘spin it to win it’ with the best of them, claiming countless podiums. But his real focus remains with honing his craft as one of the most well-rounded and smooth snowboarders. Veronica Paulsen

Veronica is a professional big mountain skier out of Jackson, Wyoming. She is known for accomplishing her goal of being the first woman to land a backflip into Corbet’s Couloir, which led her to be crowned the 2020 Queen of Corbet’s. Since then, Veronica has focused on showcasing her skiing through film. She is featured in the Teton Gravity Research’s films “Stoke the Fire” and “Magic Hour” as well the independently produced all woman ski film “Nexus.” She strives to continue to push the limits in the sport of big mountain skiing whether that is through competition or film and photography.

Yuki Kadono
1st 2015 Burton US Open Slopestyle, 1st 2020 Burton US Open Slopestyle, 6x X Games medalist, 2014 Olympics Slopestyle finals
Hyogo, Japan-based snowboarder Yuki is a history-maker. In the 2012-13 season, he became the youngest snowboarder invited to Big Air and Slopestyle and participated in both Innsbruck and Beijing events, in Austria and China respectively. He also became the first snowboarder from Asia to win Big Air and Slopestyle in Beijing, and now plans to take part in more international contests, aiming to become the first Japanese rider to win the title of the world’s number one slopestyle snowboarder.
