The 2025 ski season is wrapping up in North America. Though a select few spots remain open for summer turns, the big hitters of winter have closed up shop. Two of our favorite resorts in the States, Arapahoe Basin, Colorado and Mammoth Mountain, California, both ended their 2025 ski seasons on June 15.
On the far reaches of the West Coast, Mammoth is often able to extend its season well into the summer with snow sticking around in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
The resort clocked nearly 300″ of snow this year, which isn’t a historic amount for the Cali ski area, but it’s certainly enough to keep lifts spinning and riders happy. The resort had its famous gondola open, with skiers smashing soft bumps top to bottom, and even a pink rail or two.

In the high peaks of the Colorado Rockies, Arapahoe Basin threw a hell of a closing bash. The famous Lake Reveal came out to play, with ample room for skiers and boarders to test their luck and make their way across the frigid waters. It’s not your normal pond skim! With no registration, it’s every rider for themselves out there, and that’s just the way we like it.
The white ribbon was open for top-to-bottom shredding, as skiers made their way from the summit to the Black Mountain Lodge mid-station, all the way down to the base, where live music awaited. Despite a massive landslide obscuring Loveland Pass in the early hours of the morning, skiers from the front range made the extra journey to Silverthorne and up the back side of the highway to the resort.
It was a stellar season across both of these iconic resorts, and we’re already fired up for the next one. Cheers to everyone on the resort operations team who made it happen, and we’ll see you for more action this summer!
