In the final freeskiing event of the 2019 Winter X Games, 20-year-old Alex Hall took home his first X Games medal, a gold one in the slopestyle discipline. Hall skied clean throughout all three of his runs, especially on the rail sections, and incorporated a back swap into his third rail to boost his score from a 94.33 to a 95.66, and earn him the gold medal. Quebec-native Alex Beaulieu-Marchand scored a 92.66 on his first run, a score that would earn him a silver medal when all was said and done. Norwegian olympian Ferdinand Dahl rounded out the podium with a score of 80.33, just edging out fan-favorite Henrik Harlaut, who finished fourth with a score of 78.33.
