The 7th annual Big Air on Elk in Crested Butte, Colorado is going down tonight, March 8, 2014. Watch as competitors are hauled into a giant kicker built on Main Street in downtown Crested Butte, and proceed to huck their meat off said kicker. Olympian, and home town hero, has won this event twice in years past.
Sponsoring the event for the 5th street year is local shop, Colorado Freeskier, who will be on handing out swag bags filled with all kinds of sweet items.
Come on out tonight at 5 p.m., when a live band will perform along the street, followed by the competition at 7 and the return of the band from 9 – 10. This year there will also be a Beer Garden for those interested in getting a little imbibed while spectating. And, for those who can’t make it tonight, Colorado Freeskier will be live streaming the event via its website.
