$65,000 in prizes available in The North Face’s reinvented video competition, Peak2Park

The North Face’s highly-acclaimed Park Pipe and Open Virtual series is back for the 2016-17 season with a new name—Peak2Park—and a reimagined vision.

In the past, this video contest was completely park-focused and limited to North American athletes. Participants submitted park skiing videos for a shot at various prizes—the grand prize being a paid trip to go ski with Tom Wallisch and the rest of the Good Company crew. This year, the park aspect of the competition will stay the same more or less, but an all-mountain side will come into the mix as well. Europeans are also allowed to enter both contests.

Registration has already opened (click here to go for it), and The North Face will start accepting videos on January 5, 2017 via its rebuilt website, which you can find here. Two grand prizes winners—one for park and one for all-mountain—will prevail in March, 2017. Additionally, winners will be announced for Best Trick, Best 100% GoPro Edit and Viewer’s Choice for the video which receives the most public votes.

The all-mountain winner will be sent on a free trip to film and ski with The North Face pro skiers in the backcountry. The park winner will get to ski with Tom Wallisch and the Good Company crew (locations TBD). Winners of the aforementioned sub-competitions will receive various gear from companies like GoPro, LOOK Bindings, Rossignol and The North Face. All in all, the prizes up for grabs total a whopping $65,000.
