Careful examination of the calendar today led us to discover that Winter X Games 17 and the 2013 SIA Snow Show are in fact not overlapping this year, with X Games being hosted in Aspen between January 24-27, and the SIA Snow Show in Denver between January 31-February 3.

The two major events have overlapped for the past few years, causing grief for many in the industry, including athletes, team managers and the media.

While we’re thrilled that we’ll all be able to enjoy both X and SIA this year, what’s even more exciting is that more staffers on hand at each event translates to increased coverage for you all. Whereas one year ago, for example, our staff was split between Denver and Aspen during the events, we’ll be rolling in force first to X Games, then to the Snow Show—more hands on deck allowing us to bring you the best coverage in the biz.
