2012 Ski Movie Reviews: Two Plank Productions – Because

2012 Ski Movie Reviews: Two Plank Productions – Because

The first half of this movie is essentially one badass, sled-skiing road trip with a quick departure to the other side of the world for some classic Japanese powder. The road trip takes you from Colorado to Canada and everywhere in between, watching Topher Plimpton and the Felton brothers sending burly straightlines and backcountry booters. The movie, which was two years in the making, has a mostly recognizable digital soundtrack that plays well to the aggressive skiing of everybody involved. In a year when a number of movies are heavy on the storytelling, Two Plank goes the other way with just under an hour of big-mountain, backcountry ski porn that leaves you with a general feeling of “pull up your skirt, grab your powder boards and send it.”
