COLLEGIATE SKI AND SNOWBOARD ATHLETES COMPETE IN COLLEGIATE NATIONALS SLOPESTYLE EVENT AT KEYSTONE RESORT ON MARCH 28&29

The best skiers and snowboarders from colleges and universities across the country are competing for the national championship title in a slopestyle event at Keystone Resort’s A51 Terrain Park on March 28 and 29. Skiers and riders will showcase their terrain park aptitude and jibbing skills through a series of jumps, rails and other park features for cash prizes and to be named for best male and female collegiate athletes in slopestyle skiing and snowboarding. Collegiate Nationals Schedule of Events:
Friday, March 28

8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Registration at Mountain House Base Lodge
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Open Practice in A51 Terrain Park
5 p.m. Athlete Meeting at Mountain House Base Lodge
Saturday, March 29
8 a.m. – 9 a.m. Last chance registration at Mountain House Base Lodge
9:30a.m.- 2 p.m. Qualifiers in A-51 Terrain Park
2:30 – 5 p.m. Finals in A-51 Terrain Park
5:30 – 6 p.m. Awards Ceremony at Mountain House Base Lodge

The Keystone A-51 Terrain Park provides the athletes with a top-caliber venue and an exciting area for spectators to watch the competition. A51 has been included in the top-10 terrain parks in the country according to both TransWorld Snowboarding Magazine and Freeskier Magazine. The park features a 450-foot long and 18-foot high SuperPipe, expert and novice jumplines, rails, quarterpipes and more for the entry-level to advanced jibbers.

Coverage of Collegiate Nationals will also air on CBS Sports on Sunday, May 25th in a special one-hour premier. Collegiate Nationals is open to male and female skiers and snowboarders enrolled in a minimum of three college credits within the past nine months. Registration is $25 per competitor and includes a two-day lift ticket, lunch and t-shirt. Participants must wear a helmet.
