Sammy Carlson reflects on 15+ years of epic film parts in new series, Retrospect

Sammy Carlson is—without a doubt—one of the most influential people in skiing. The Hood River, Oregon native has starred in ski films since he was just 12 years old, pushing the limits of our sport all over the world without looking back—that is, until now. At 27 years young, Sammy has released a new series, Retrospect, which takes a look back on the ripper’s impressive career—one that doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. “Every year, it seemed like the best year ever,” he explains. “It’s funny because I still say that now but, truly, every year was always the best year.” In episode two, released today, Carlson delves into the reasoning behind his decision to step away from the competition scene in favor of focusing strictly on putting together incredible video footage.
