From the brand that consistently brings you the most reliable, comfortable, adventure-ready belts, Arcade Belts has teamed up with fellow adventure apparel brand Roark Revival–known for its unique approach to travel and storytelling through clothing, luggage and accessories–for a limited-edition collaboration.
“We’re excited to collaborate with a brand that shares Arcade’s passion for exploration, travel and life on-the-go,” said Tristan Queen, CEO of Arcade in a recent press release. “Roark’s approach to product development and storytelling are a perfect match for our versatile belts, which resulted in us teaming up to bring a really unique piece of equipment [to] life.”
Inspired by Roark Revival’s shared inclination to wander the world, the collaboration between the two brands came to fruition after the California-based Roark team traveled to Northern Patagonia, Argentina where they rode horseback through Estancia Rincon Grande–a massive ranch outside of Bariloche, Argentina that produces primarily cattle and Merino wool.
“The utility of the Arcade belt is key for our adventures,” said Danny Geary, design director at Roark Revival, in that same press release. “The ease to pass through TSA hassle-free and the unrestricted comfort were just the first results of my most recent wear test. The purpose-driven function was discovered when the belt was used as a secondary strap to secure additional goods to my rucksack when traveling. It turned my on-the-go fumbling situation into a simplified hands-free experience.”
Shades of gold and dusty brown have dominated the landscape of Estancia Rincon Grande for thousands of years, which served as the base inspiration for the turtle camouflage print seen on the Arcade/Roark collaboration belt.
“Hitting on design notes from Roark’s Argentinian travels, we combined their custom turtle camo print with a healthy dose of Arcade DNA,” said Queen, “including durable stretch webbing and lightweight non-metal buckles for a super comfortable belt that functions as well as it looks.”
