It was quite a night for action snow-sports at the ESPY awards this evening. Freeskiing’s own Joss Christensen and David Wise were nominated for “Best Male Olympian” alongside snowboarding’s Olympic gold medalist, Sage Kotsenburg. Olympic champ’ Maddie Bowman was nominated for “Best Female Olympian” along with snowboarding’s Jamie Anderson and Kaitlyn Farrington; Anderson was also nominated for “Best Female Action Sports Athlete.” Cool-boarders Kotsenburg and Anderson ended up taking home ESPYs for Best Male Olympian and Best Female Action Sports Athlete, but as far as I’m concerned, all in attendance were winners. I mean, even Drake aka “Drizzy” turned out to be a much better host than anticipated. Congrats to all of the athletes representing action-snow tonight—you did us proud. Enjoy an array of ESPY pics from the Red Carpet and beyond, below.
