The Jammu jacket is constructed from 3-layer, Polartec Neoshell–a softshell alternative to fabrics like Gore-Tex. In the past, softshells have been known for great breathability but not for excellent waterproofness. Polartec is starting to show people that you don’t necessarily have to sacrifice one for the other.

The membrane allows moisture vapor to pass from the inside to the outside without waiting for excess pressure to build up (it transfers heat at a lower temperature) and utilizes fully taped seams to provide waterproof protection from the elements. Along with keeping you dry, a generous amount of elastane in the construction, along with a soft interior, make the jacket stretchy and comfortable against your skin. The casual look allows you to use the Jammu around town and with the right layering it will work well in even the most brutal winter conditions.
