Sea 108

In an emerging shift to wider skis, Scott has built a treasure. The new Scott Sea 108 strikes a beautiful balance between stability and forgiveness. Engineers started with a fiberglass and poplar core and added a strip of Titanal underfoot. The poplar provides a lighter swing weight while allowing you to step on the gas pedal when needed, and the Titanal strip acts as a dampener, reducing the vibrations from the wood core. It’s important to note that the metal strip doesn’t cover the entire length of the ski, which lets the ski maintain a sturdy feel underfoot without sacrificing the playful nature of the poplar wood in the tip and tail.
A directional shape guides the ski downhill, with plenty of tip rocker and a touch of tail rocker. The profile initiates turns effortlessly, while the tail rocker provides forgiveness on bump runs and in the trees. For better flotation and easy turn initiation, the Sea 108 features 3D Spin Tech in the tip and tail, making the ski feel surfy and nimble.
One of our testers beautifully described the experience: “While skiing through uneven terrain, the Sea 108 pivoted effortlessly. I was able to smear my tails around bumps and obstacles at a moment’s notice. I was also surprised by how stable it was on hardpack and how eagerly it charged through crud and heavier snow.” The Scott Sea 108 stands in a league of its own, offering a unique take on a mid-stiff, big mountain ski that’s well-suited to advanced skiers who prioritize agility when hunting for challenging alpine lines and boosting off cliffs.
