Moon Patrol Gore-Tex Jacket & Bib | 2025

The men’s Moon Patrol kit is Salomon’s marquee freeride option for 2025. The French-based brand has produced high-quality outerwear for a number of years and, more recently, has begun honing in a subtle style that appeals to more freeskiers on this side of the pond—evidenced by the earth tones used here. Salomon uses what it calls MotionFit 360 in this kit, mapping the construction of the garments in a way that mimics the body and allows for generous freedom-of-movement. This enables athletes like Cody Townsend (and you) to tackle any objective, from buckling your boots to scaling the last pitch of a foreboding peak, without feeling like the kit is tugging back at you. The jacket and bib utilize three-layer construction with a Gore-Tex membrane, DWR finish and water-repellent zippers, coming in with a 28K/28K rating for waterproofness and breathability. The bib is extra stretchy above the waist to further increase mobility and, of course, Salomon didn’t forget to include the day-to-day features we all need. These include pit and thigh vents, a supple chin guard, powder skirt and Cordura cuff guards.
