Not only that, but Kästle (smartly) flipped the order of its wood core, keeping a poplar and beech layup closer to the center of the ski while buffering it with lighter poplar and paulownia stringers closer to the edge. This new construction adds pop and rebound while keeping the ski from getting hingey during a powerful turn. The Hollowtech 3.0 tip decreases weight in the shovel to dampen vibrations before they get under your boot, keeping this ski silky smooth in and out of turns.
