Paragon 107
Kästle
$999.00
Over the past 100 years, Kästle has built skis synonymous with racing excellence. That racing heritage is evident in every ski they build, and while skiers reach for Kästle when bashing gates you’re harder pressed to find them underfoot at freeride comps. Kästle aims to change that reputation with their new Paragon lineup, and more specifically the Paragon 107. The early results are in and hard-charging freeride skiers agree that these boards rip.
“The Paragon 107 from Kästle was brilliant,” said one of our ski testers. “The power and stability on these bad boys, while being surfy in the white; stuff evoked feelings of love that this skier doesn’t often feel after 30 years of testing skis.”
The all new InfiniCore Free made from poplar, paulownia and beechwood along with two sheets of Titanal give this ski the torsional rigidity and stiff flex a powerful skier is looking for, but the tip and tail remain malleable thanks to the Paragon 107’s hook-free shovel and tail. By combining double rocker with contact points closer to the center of the ski, the Paragon 107 provides forgiveness and playfulness when you need it.
“If you harness its energy, the ski responds beautifully for a smooth yet powerful ride like a turbo-charged Mustang,” said another ski tester. “Know that this ski has your back when you have to dominate big mountain lines and wide-open steep groomers.”
Kästle added their tried-and-true HOLLOWTECH 2.0 cutout in the tip to ensure optimal dampness and precise steering while also shaving weight. Advanced and expert skiers searching for a big mountain resort ski that is capable of navigating everything from narrow chutes and cliff drops to blasting pow and cruising steep corduroy, look no further—the Paragon 107 has arrived.
