For 2024-25, K2 overhauled the entire Reckoner line. The Reckoner 110, a versatile freeride tool carefully crafted for slarving, slashing and jumping, sits at the heart of the revised collection. Although it feels more at home in the soft stuff, it has the ability to handle firmer conditions without issue.
Our team of testers had a blast tearing up the mountain on the Reckoner 110, with one commenting, “They effortlessly absorbed compressions and propelled me out of each mogul, providing a smooth ride, even at top speed. I was able maneuver through tight tree lines with confidence. While they floated beautifully over the snow surface, I could feel every little bump and undulation which enabled me to adapt my skiing on the fly. Overall, these skis were a riot.”
Boasting several advancements in materials and construction methods, the updated Reckoner models feature K2’s Spectral Braid—a woven fiber laminate. This new braid employs a variable weave that’s tighter in the middle of the ski to enhance torsional stiffness for improved edge hold while maintaining stability. This is complemented by a looser weave in the tip and tail to give the ski that playful touch of swagger. Additionally, K2’s Carbon Boost technology provides carbon stringers for added pop and rebound.
K2 has adopted BioResin, a plant-based alternative renowned for its strength in cold temperatures and superior bonding capabilities compared to traditional petroleum-based resins. Not only does BioResin offer heightened performance, but it also reduces the environmental footprint of the manufacturing process.
With its above-average waist width and rockered profile, this ski leans toward soft snow performance, offering exceptional float and agility without sacrificing stability and power. If you’re looking for a playful and poppy freeride ripper, the Reckoner 110 is a strong contender.
