Faction and the legendary Candide Thovex gave the popular Faction Candide 3.0 Skis a makeover this year, in the form of a slimmer waist width—down to 108 from 112—a tighter turn radius and a smoother flex pattern. A substantial amount of tip rocker and a bit in the tail keeps the ski playful for nose butters and big tricks, while a touch of camber underfoot ensures stability on the hardpack. “Solid construction, easy to pivot and bounce around on,” proclaimed one tester, while others celebrated its “solid construction” and “super stable and poppy” nature. These planks won’t make you ski like Candide, but they will certainly elevate your game.
