M-Free 108

Dynastar

$900.00

Ski Lengths: 162, 170, 178, 185, 192 cm
Turn Radius: 18 m @ 185 cm
Ski Dimensions: 128 - 108 - 138 mm

The M-Free 108 leads the charge for Dynastar’s progressive, freeride-focused M-Free collection. Featuring a progressive rocker profile with camber underfoot, this ski packs equal amounts of power and agility into an incredibly well-rounded freeride machine. Whether you’re riding switch through open powder fields, straight-lining couloirs or spinning off a big ‘ol wedge, you’ll appreciate what the storied French brand put into the build.
The M-Free 108 has a robust construction that combines a poplar and polyurethane core wrapped in fiberglass with a Titanal plate underfoot and full-length sidewalls. The nearly symmetrical flex pattern is notably consistent from tip to tail. The stiffness gradually increases toward the center to provide a solid and stable feel underfoot, particularly around the bindings.
The M-Free 108 grips well on groomers while tearing through turns—forward or switch. Despite its slightly heavier weight (2,200 grams per ski at the 185 cm), it responds with a surprising liveliness while carving. When it comes to tackling variable conditions, especially gnarly chop and crud, the M-Free 108’s weighty, damp feel is a welcome asset that adds stability and confidence. While not the stiffest skis in the test, it handles all but the iciest chunder like a boss and strikes the perfect balance between playful and chargey. In the pow department, the M-Free 108 delivers solid float, perfect for most days and riders. The beefy tail ensures smooth landings, and the ski transitions effortlessly from soft snow to groomers, showcasing its torsional stiffness.
As an added bonus, Dynastar has done a remarkable job analyzing the environmental impact of its skis and altering its usage of materials to reduce waste through a process they call Hybrid Core 2.0.
Overall, the M-Free 108 is a versatile beast, ready to conquer deep days with a touch of rebellious flair. While not built for breakneck speeds, it excels in playful maneuvers and larger terrain.
