Many DPS skis are available in a hybrid (fiberglass/carbon/bamboo) construction as well as the Pure3 that we tested, a lighter, stiffer, carbon- and poplar-based sandwich construction with three vertical aluminum ribs. Complete with rockered tip and tail as well as slight camber underfoot, testers praised the Wailer 112RP as “a great all-around ski for pow and variable conditions.” Its playful nature stood out to skiers, who commented, “They’re so easy to turn and whip around,” and “Kept up at speed. Really fun to open up on these.”
