We wouldn’t necessarily equate Blizzard’s Sheeva 10 to a bucking bronco (she’s more refined than that) but clicking into a pair of these fast-and-furious planks is definitely a rowdy-good time. Tailored to aggressive, freeride women who like to push the speed limit, the Sheeva 10 is equal parts burly and playful. What makes Blizzard’s skis so exceptional is the brand’s proprietary WSD Trueblend Free Core, which allows the brand to specifically design each model and size of ski for the target consumer. The Sheeva 10’s WSD Trueblend Free construction utilizes a strategic blend of beech, poplar, and paulownia woods to keep the flex of the ski stiffest underfoot, gradually softening as you get to the tip and tail. This is what enables the ski’s more playful, nimble side.

What you put into the Sheeva 10, she quickly and consistently returns, making tight trees and squirrelly terrain a walk in the park. Stability at speed and a stout, unwavering feel in the chop can be attributed to Titanal along the edges and a layer of fiberglass woven with carbon stringers throughout. Tip and tail rocker mean the Sheeva 10 isn’t a groomer-specific carving ski, but don’t let that make you think she can’t hold a confident edge, especially for being 102-mm underfoot.

“From the Blizzards I’ve tried over the years, I would consider this the best all-mountain women’s ski that they have produced,” raved our tester. “It handled well on the groomers, putting down GS and Super G style turns while holding speed with ease. They skied great on most of the variable off-piste conditions…and easily stomped hits around the mountain.” You read it here first, ladies. If you want to ski like Elyse Saugstad, this is the ski to emulate the Queen of Stomptown.
