The “AMID” moniker in the Four Amid Pro stands for Atomic’s Multi-directional Impact Deflector technology. Similar to the MIPS system seen in other high-end helmets, AMID is a proprietary tech that protects you in the event of a rotational impact. On top of that, Atomic’s Holo Core provides a protective “crumple zone” to absorb impact before it reaches your skull. Safe to say, the Four Amid Pro is right up there with other premium helmets on the market. A dial-fit system on the back enables you to zero in on a comfy fit and the liner and goggle clip are both removable in case you prefer to rock the helmet with a beanie.
