ARMADA ARW 96 REVIEW — 2017

The ARW 96 is one seriously smooth cat, built for rippers who spend most of their time on the frontside. Rockered tips and tails, complemented with carbon-Kevlar stringers, ensure agility across all terrain, while trusty camber underfoot helps stabilize the ride. A midweight poplar wood joins together in a horizontal laminate with high-density ash in the core for an energetic yet powerful ski. “These skis were very fun, quick and easy through the turn,” described one tester in response to the ARW’s snappy, 17.5-meter turn radius. Once you’re done carving trenches, go pop off rollers, add a shifty for good measure, then throw a big, lofty 360. The ARW will make you look good no matter the activity. In short, it’s as cool as the other side of the pillow.

*Ski dimensions are for the 163.
