ARW 112
Armada
$975.00
Armada’s ARW series is arguably one of the most playful lines of skis to grace the freestyle market. Whether you’re plundering the freshly fallen goods or ripping turns between storms, the ARW 112 will keep you wigglin’ and gigglin’. With generous tip and tail rocker, the ARW 112 begs you to pop, surf, float, slarve and butter to your heart’s content. Conversely, a full edge wrap gives the ARW 112 a set of teeth that will happily sink into fast and firm carves as well as refrozen chunder, with little chatter.
“This ski does it all!” raved one of our testers. “Whether carving into side hits or laying into powder turns, the ARW 112 has a super playful feel, letting you lay down some impressive turns. Despite the width, the bumps were a blast and tree skiing isn’t a problem. Definitely one of my favorites of the year!”
A caruba wood core keeps the overall weight of the ski low, making it easier to throw around while saving you energy on every turn. Armada’s new proprietary w3Dgewall construction—a 3D-molded sidewall that’s angled into the core—creates a stronger, more uniform connection for a more durable build than what is typically found in a powder ski. Designed for freestyle-centric skiers, the ARW 112 isn’t necessarily a groomer ski, but she can certainly hold her own in variable conditions between storms.
