2017 Oakley Air Brake XL Goggle Review

We’re not shy about expressing our love for Oakley’s Prizm lens tech—it gives contrast and color incredible boosts, yielding mind-boggling optical pleasure. Several, but not all, Air Brake XL colorways benefit from Prizm. As its name suggests, the XL features an oversized lens construction for improved peripheral vision. The dual-pane lens is treated with an anti-fog coating to prevent steaming, and Oakley streamlined the design of the goggle to match the Modular Brim System of its Mod 3 Helmet, for an ideal, stylish fit.

The Mod 3, one of two helmets available in year one of Oakley’s foray into dome protectors, utilizes in-mold construction for a reduction in weight. Fixed vents in the brim and on top yield primo airflow and a Boa fit system keeps ’er nice and snug.
