20 episodes in and Return of the Turn is still turning as strong as it was years ago! Your mom's favorite skier, Marcus Caston, has been traveling the globe with Blizzard Tecnica winter after winter, spreading the good word of the turn to all who will listen. But sometimes, you don't need to go far. Sometimes, you just need zero plan and a destination three hours from home.

That's what Marcus and friend of the show Drew Gilmore had in mind when they set out for Pomerelle, Idaho. The small resort is nestled just north of the Idaho/Utah border, and the team found the whole shabang here. Dialed groomers, chalk, chopped pow, good food, wind, small town vibes, night skiing and more wind. What could go wrong? Episode 20, here we come!

What happens when you pack the car and chase a ski trip with no plan?

In this episode of Return of the Turn, Drew Gilmore and Marcus Caston take a spontaneous weekend road trip to Pomerelle Mountain Resort in southern Idaho. Instead of chasing big-name destinations, we head to one of the smallest ski resorts in the West—and discover exactly why places like this still matter.

With quiet lift lines, playful terrain, and the freedom to explore somewhere new, the trip becomes a reminder that some of the best ski adventures start with nothing more than loading your skis into the car and driving.

Sometimes the best turns aren’t at the biggest mountains—they’re the ones you didn’t plan.
