evo Denver to celebrate opening with weeklong celebration

evo, the outdoor gear retailer that seeks to seamlessly blend community, art and outdoor recreation, is opening its third retail store location in Denver, Colorado. The grand opening celebration is set for the week of December 5 and evo has a full slate of events planned, just like when it opened its stores in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. However, the store is opening up for business Friday, November 18, at 5 p.m.

evo partnered with several local brands to help put on a four-day celebration. One of the main goals throughout the week will be to raise money for SOS Outreach, a non-profit group that aims to help you develop integral life skills through outdoor immersion.

Here’s how the week will shape up:

Donations will be accepted for SOS Outreach, with all donated funds being matched by evo.

The Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) will kickoff its Know Before You Go series. The 60-90 minute programs–which aim to highlight the destructiveness of avalanches and learn how, when and why they occur—will be offered at evo Denver over the course of winter 2016-17. Visitors can sign in at the beginning of each class and at the very end of the series, one winner will be chosen at random to accompany Strafe Outerwear on a guided backcountry tour in Aspen.
