But now he knows how to make some insanely good all-mountain boards with his direct-to-consumer brand, J Skis. The Metal in particular had our whole testing squad head-banging all over the hill. Its stiff maple core is further strengthened by narrow strips of Titanal and full height sidewalls. Throw in tip and tail rocker and she rips on any terrain at any speed. “This ski gives you the stability you need to charge,” reflected one tester. “I continually pushed it and never found a speed limit.”
