Loveland to Open Tomorrow!

Loveland to Open Tomorrow!

    October 15, 2007

Loveland Ski Area to Open Tomorrow, October 16th!
You heard right, Loveland will open for the 2007 – 2008 season this Tuesday, October 16th.  A storm system that pushed through the area this weekend dropped over a foot of snow, giving us exactly what we needed to open.  The decision to hold off opening was a tough one, but trust us, it was well worth the wait.  We are proud to open Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run with true top-to-bottom, side-to-side coverage with a base depth of 18 inches or more.  No need to worry about bare spots or rocks on Loveland’s opening day.

Lift #1 will open on Tuesday, October 16th at 9am with early season lift tickets only $42 for adults and $20 for children ages 6 – 14.  Join us for sampling, giveaways, a live remote from KSMT, and most importantly, skiing!  We will also be having a casual rail jam at 2pm with swag for people who stop by and give the features a try.  Be sure to check out our webcams
to see for yourself all the snow we got and what you can expect from Loveland’s Opening Day.

All services including rentals, repairs, sports shop and cafeteria will be available on opening day.  Child Care will be opening on November 1st and
Ski School
anticipates opening on November 17th.

07 – 08 Events Calendar has Something for Everyone
Whether you’re an aspiring terrain park pro, a backcountry powder hound, or just the occasional weekend cruiser, Loveland has an event that right up your ally.  The very popular Demo Days will be held again this year in early November
.  The Love Park Rail Jams return once a month to let you get some practice for the late season slopestyle competitions, The Vert Alerts.  Charitable events such as the American Cancer Society’s Vertical Challenge and the Annual Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party let you give back while having fun.  New this year Loveland hosts a Digital Photography competition with some great prizes.  Check out the
Event Calendar
for details on these events and many more.
