From the British Columbia to Colorado it looks like the next group of storms are quickly moving in and bringing with them up to 20 inches of snow. This coming only a week after the last round of early season snow.

With less than 140 days before the Winter Olympics, Whistler recently received their first dusting of snow of the season and forecasters predict they’ll get even more within the next 5 days.

The bulk of this latest storm has covered many resorts in Utah with snow including Snowbird, Brighton and Alta. Snowbird has reported 6 inches of snow already today and is expecting 20 inches of total snowfall by tomorrow afternoon. According to NOAA, Brighton Ski Resort can get anywhere from 10 to 16 inches of snow by tomorrow morning and similarly Alta may get up to 17 inches of snow!

Not to be outdone by its Mormon neighbor, Wyoming has reported snow as well, near Jackson Hole.

Inevitably this same storm will be heading into Colorado by Thursday afternoon where really anything can happen. Reports vary but all signs point to substantial snowfall where most resorts north of the I-70 corridor are expecting 8 to 10 inches.

All of this snow and it’s not even October. This is going to be a great year!
