While The North Face has had their own iPhone app since last season, it’s recently been updated with some useful improvements.

Features and improvements include:
- weather updates and detailed daily forecasts for domestic and international resorts
- community interaction through a twitter feed (specific to that resort, generated by hashtags)
- users can also post their own tweets through the app (to give other users timely updates)
- driving directions
- links to weather, avalanche forecasts
Overall this is an excellent free app from The North Face. I’ve been playing with it for a few days now (came out October 27, 2009) and would recommend it to any skiier/snowboarder this season.
