Sage Cattabriga-Alosa signs with Atomic

The ATOMIC Freeski Team signs prominent backcountry freestyle star Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and therewith strengthens its leading role in freeskiing. The American is excited to join the team and to ride on ATOMIC skis from now on.

It is the nature of New Yearʻs Eve to end with a big bang and so it was with ATOMIC of course. At the end of December the ski manufacturer from Altenmarkt, Austria signed the American backcountry freestyle superstar Sage Cattabriga-Alosa to its Freeski Team. The early bird catches the worm, therefore Sage and the ski brand nailed the deal already some days before the turn of the year, so that the 30-year-old freeski-hero will plough the pow on ATOMIC skis in future. The American is one of the biggest freeski idols and one of the most progressive backcountry freestylers beyound doubt. As well as his new ski-supplier, Sage has done a lot to push the sport to where it is today. ”ATOMIC has a sick team. Having a great team is a key part to do what we do,“ Sage said about his decision. ”I was stoked to see the amazing products, the shapes and designs. Iʼm excited about the vision that ATOMIC has for the future, both in the products, the development of the sport and the team.“

“Sage is a recognized leader and innovator in our sport and he shares the same passion for skiing that we do at ATOMIC. Iʼm very excited to have him join the ATOMIC family and Iʼm looking forward to collaborating with him to push the limits of what is possible on skis,“ says Jordan Judd, Marketing Director ATOMIC USA.

Sage recently blogged about the move to Atomic on his site as well…
Its a new year and things are rocking along, a time for new beginnings, new gear, and deep powder. I am super stoked to be working with Atomic skis. Atomic has a incredible team that I am honored to be a part of, great product, and a progressive vision for the future. For these reasons I have moved forward with this sick ski company and look forward to shredding with them. For two weeks I have been riding the Bent Chetler, Chris Benchetler’s pro model, and I am so pleased. The ski is light, fat, and fun. Getting on a new ski has ramped up my stoke, I feel like I am skiing better than ever and have a hard time quitting at the end of the day regardless of the snow condition. Skiing rules!- Sage
