Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass – Ski or ride for less than $52 per day

At $259, the 5-Day Classic Pass gives passholders five days of skiing or snowboarding on any of the four area mountains – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk – for less than $52/day throughout the winter season with no restrictions or blackout dates. Passholders can add additional days at great discounts. Youths (ages 7-17) and college students age 24 or younger (presenting a student ID from an accredited 4-year college) can purchase a 5-Day Classic Pass for $209.

Extension days are available at a discounted price which will vary throughout the 2010-2011 season ($49 – $79/day for Adult Passes and $19 – 49/day for Youth & College Passes).

Classic Passholders will receive exclusive lodging offers throughout the winter season as well as discounted rates on summer lift access and bike haul fees. In addition Classic Passholders can participate in Locals Clinics – only $65/day (lift ticket not included), or purchase a Locals Clinic season pass by Nov. 12 for $169, valid for unlimited clinics. Reservations required. For reservations and a schedule of clinics visit www.aspensnowmass.com/localsclinics.

Aspen/Snowmass has a new 12-foot halfpipe in Snowmass this season and a new Resort Charge program allowing guests to use their season pass as they would use a credit card at Aspen Skiing Company-operated restaurants and Four-Mountain Sports/D&E locations. The resort will once again host a packed schedule of events – most of which are free – with nearly 40 events from on-snow competitions to live outdoor concerts.

Because Aspen/Snowmass moved to 100 percent automated lift-access gates last season, RF (Radio Frequency) passes are mandatory. Adults who purchased the $5 RF pass in 2008-2009 or 2009-2010 can load their 2010-2011 pass on their existing card. All other adults will be charged an additional $5 fee. College and Youth passes require new photos and new cards each year so the $5 fee is included in the price of those passes.

The Aspen/Snowmass Classic Pass is a picture pass and all new passes for anyone who did not have a Classic Pass in 2009-2010 must be purchased in person at a specific sale location. All passholders must be present when purchasing. Classic Passholders from 2009-2010 can renew online at www.aspensnowmass.com/classicpass or by phone by calling toll free 877-282-7736 or 970-923-1227. The renewal deadline is November 12, 2010.

The pass will be available at locations throughout the Front Range, Grand Junction and in the Roaring Fork and Eagle Valleys. One Classic Pass per person. Passes are nontransferable and nonrefundable. Children six and under ski/ride free. For information, call Aspen/Snowmass at 800-525-6200 or call the Classic Pass hotel at 970-923-0475.
