The Devastator was put on Earth for one simple purpose: to turn your chosen mountain into a freeride playground. The crew at 4FRNT has been workshopping skis with some of the best names in the game for over two decades and when we say their experience shows in their work, we mean it. The Devastator sits at 108-mm underfoot, providing great all-mountain performance and ample surface area for pow and chop alike.

What really sets this ski apart is the tech. Under the hood, 4FRNT has loaded this bad boy with an aspen and maple core that’s pure Canadian hardwood magic. We’re talking energy and pop for days, folks. After years of mad scientist experiments in the white room, 4FRNT discovered a game-changer: Neoprene in the tip. This insert is like a ninja, sneaking in to slash chatter, boost damping and kick tip delamination to the curb. And with ample rocker in the tip and tail, the shape of this ski gives it a wide range of use.

“4FRNT’s signature, multi-radius rocker is a beautiful thing. It nearly carves like a groomer ski when put on edge,” said our tester. “This ski is as stable as they come and delivers a true advantage when stomping cliffs and shredding pow. I’m blown away by how easy and fun it is to pivot and slash all over the mountain while also being able to point it downhill, into oblivion.”

Most planks that deliver a stable ride can feel like they lock you into a turn but with a multi-radius rocker that’s flat underfoot, with two different rocker radii blended smoothly as you move towards the tip and tail, you’re provided with stability and firm snow capabilities. That all amounts to a ski that can hold its own at speed, yet easily release when you whip into tight turns in the trees or deep pow. We recommend this ski to the advanced skier who likes to put a freestyle flair in their riding. If dropping cliffs and spinning side hits at speed sounds like your ideal afternoon, then the 4FRNT Devastator is the plank for you.
