Anomaly 102
Blizzard
$799.99
The all new Anomaly 102 is geared toward skiers who crave power and speed. With ample camber and superior dampness, it delivers class-leading stability and is an ideal choice to dominate everything from choppy, variable snow to frontside groomers and offers a thrilling ride for those who dare to push their limits. On-piste, the Anomaly 102 is a flat-out rocket ship that rewards speed with confidence. Its damp, planted feel minimizes chatter, even on the iciest runs, and although it’s not the most reactive or quickest of the skis we tested, it can be broken free of its trajectory when adjustments are needed. It floats reasonably well in shallow powder and prefers to hold a longer turn versus having a looser, slashy feel. When busting through mixed conditions and firm chop, it prefers a direct, head-on approach instead of trying to skid or slide sideways.
The Anomaly’s Trueblend Free wood core combines dense beech wood underfoot, to provide robust power and stability, with softer poplar wood at the tip and tail. The rocker-camber profile facilitates smooth turn initiation and enhances adaptability across various conditions while boasting a slightly shorter on-snow contact length. The elevated camber height pairs with two sheets of Titanal, the top of which is split into thirds and set apart along the sides and at two different heights which Blizzard calls Fluxform, to make for the ultimate carving weapon.
While the Anomaly 102 may not suit every skier’s style, its precision and stability make it a standout choice for experienced, directional riders. With its advanced technology and superior construction, this ski offers unmatched high-speed performance on all types of terrain. Whether you’re trenching turns on groomers or tackling steep lines, it delivers an adrenaline-fueled ride that leaves you craving more every time.
