The Freeskier crew hit the floor Friday for day two of the SIA Snow Show and the booths were in full swing as even more people roamed the aisles in search of the latest and greatest gear. Along the way we bumped into a few athletes, met some lovely ladies and saw a ton of products we can’t wait to try out on the snow. Among the things we found out is that Armada is beefing up their park ski lineup as well as their clothing selection, including their new Gore Tex Xtra Fit gloves and stylish new outerwear. Nordica has introduced two pro models this year, which is a first in the company’s history: One is a performance boot with TJ Schiller and the other a beefy powder ski in conjunction with Rory Bushfield. Smith is unveiling a wide variety of new offerings and Dragon has come out with a Nike collab goggle that people are going to eat up.

The Freeskier Photo Annual Exhibit also went down on Friday night at the ArtHaus, adjacent to the Level 1 headquarters here in Denver. It was a very successful night of fundraising for the Sarah Burke Foundation as there was an outpouring of support from the ski community. Athletes such as Bobby Brown, Tom Wallisch, Keri Herman and of course, Rory Bushfield were in attendance as people bid on beautifully framed prints from both the Freeskier Photo Annual and Sarah Burke Remembrance issues.
