Here’s the short and sweet: Faction’s third feature feature film uncovers the foundations of freeskiing as seen by our current generation of skiers, taking us from the caves of the Dolomites to the nightscapes of Ruka and the mythic peaks surrounding Faction’s homebase in Verbier. In ROOTS, Faction brings us on a journey through the vibrant spectrum of freeskiing—showing how, even across its many disciplines, we’re all after the same thing.
In the initial teaser for ROOTS, which was released last month, we were blown away by the striking scenery, stylish tricks and enormous airs that Faction’s athlete team laced together. We quickly got to work picking apart our favorite lines and moments from the minute-long clip, but the one thing the FREESKIER staff all agreed on is that we wanted more. Luckily, Faction is following the teaser with the full trailer, featured at the top of this post. Simply said, our mouths are watering but this is just enough to keep us sated until the North American premiere in Salt Lake City next month.
