Jossi Wells Invitational to take place at New Zealand’s Cardrona Alpine Resort

Jossi Wells is hosting a brand-new big air competition this month at his home mountain in New Zealand, Cardrona Alpine Resort. Dubbed the Jossi Wells Invitational, the event goes down on August 13 and will see both skiers and snowboarders from all over the globe.

Pros including James Woods, Noah Morrison and Jossi’s brother Jackson will all be present, throwing down for the Kiwi crowd on a perfectly-sculpted 75-foot booter. It’ll be one of the nation’s best snowsports events of the season, and to be the namesake means the world to Jossi.

“To be able to give back to the industry with the resort that has supported me for so long is really amazing. It’s really cool to be able to throw an event at home for my international and local peers.”

Stay tuned for a recap video right here on Freeskier.com, and until then, watch the video, below, of the Cardona Park Crew sculpting the jump for the Invitational. Props to these guys and all of the other park crews around the world for putting in so much work every season.
