We are now four days deep into X Games, and today’s afternoon brought out the big slopestyle guns, training under Mother Nature’s gray blanket. Temperatures have managed to stay pretty warm, but the sun has officially worn out it’s welcome here in Aspen, so we told it to bug off.

With a couple more days of slopestyle practice, the men and women are taking it pretty slowly, figuring out this super fast course, before working into their tricks. In effect, they want to feel safe, but also kind of dangerous.

Most of the buzz, however, is directed at the Superpipe death-match showdown that will be taking place later this evening under the lights. Will it be Tanner, Simon or Dorey? Or someone really cool that we aren’t even expecting? Stay tuned to Freeskier.com, and all answers will be revealed.
