Today, the internet informed me that the television show, Rocket Power, premiered on Nickelodeon 19 years ago to the day. As a kid, I was an avid viewer of this animated bunch of action sports kiddos, and I couldn’t help but share this momentous news. Otto, Reggie, Sam and Twister were the raddest bunch on the block, skating, blading, surfing and scootering all over the fictitious town of Ocean Shores, California.
So, in celebration of this ridiculous anniversary, here’s an episode where the bunch hits the slopes for some gravity-fed fun. With a confidence in the park that would give pros like Joss Christensen and Nick Goepper a run for their money, the Rocket Power crew hit every feature in sight, including the halfpipe, on, what look like, some first-generation snowblades.
