I don’t really know what the term Emeritus means, I think it might mean old? Regardless, my mother Jean was just awarded the title Emeritus Professor by the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the Division of Emergency Medicine. After many years, she’s still involved and engaged in treating patients, patiently teaching students, and studiously investigating such interesting things as yeast infections, domestic violence (here, here, here, here, here and here), interstitial pregnancy and emergency contraception (seriously, thanks).
