This French skier doesn’t need snow to have a flippin’ good time

Ski jumping… one of those niche aspects of the sport that leaves most of us scratching our heads, wondering: These people must be crazy!

Flying through the air like a bird of prey on pursuit, athletes in this discipline compete most recognizably in the Winter Olympics, spending countless hours practicing jumps and often training in the summer months on jumps without any snow.

For French freestyle skier Anthony Robert, taking on these big ski jumps comes second nature, but this summer he’s adding some extra flare to his hang time.

In the videos below, Robert has taken his training to the next level, incorporating a Superman front flip—meaning, he jumps straight out with his hands in front of him (like Superman) before starting his tuck and completing his flip. Anyone else get reminded of Sammy Carlson’s epic Michigan jump sesh watching these videos?
