The last day of the Freeskier Ski Test is just getting underway up on Solitude Mountain today. The final skis to be tested are:
Dynastar
Rossignol
Volkl
Fischer
Bluehouse
In the last two days, we clicked in, ventured up, hiked and then descended solitude on:
Salomon
Roxy
Atomic
Head
Palmer
Scott
Fat-ypus
Nordica
Liberty
When a foot of snow landed on the mountain Wednesday night, the fat skis were put to the test with some as wide as 140mm under foot. We basically didn’t even touch anything under 100mm, which just a couple years ago would have been considered amply fat.
