While this weekend’s Dumont Cup festivities drew a ton of talent and spectators to the majestic resort of Sunday River, Freeskier thought it would be a grand idea to gather a few people at a local watering hole, and enjoy a nice beer, compliments of Coors Light, before partying down at the Dumont Cup official party. So, the stage was set, a couple hours at the Phoenix Bar, right near the base of Sunday River Resort, in Bethel, Maine.
Coors bottles left the coolers faster than the bartenders could bring them, appetizers were devoured, witty banter was exchanged, the live band played, raffle items were won, and a good time was had by all. What better way to unwind and start the evening after a hard two days at the Dumont Cup, where sore bodies and weary souls were surely soothed by a couple Coors and some nachos.
A big thanks goes out the Coors, The Phoenix Bar, Sunday River Resort, The Dumont Family, Simon Dumont, all the athletes, all the sponsors and all the fans who came out to witness the carnage that went down this weekend.
