Copper Mountain opens for its 40th season

PRESS RELEASE, COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. — November 2, 2012 — This morning at 9am, the American Eagle lift at Copper Mountain Resort started turning, commencing the resort’s 40th anniversary season. Throughout opening weekend, the American Eagle chairlift and the Easy Rider surface lift will service 3 trails totaling 42 acres of skiing and riding, plus Woodward at Copper’s Eagle Jib Park.

Copper is celebrating its 40th season kick-off with music presented by RedBull and limited edition Koozie giveaways outside the Spyder store for the first 500 guests. Koozie giveaways will be offered on both Friday and Saturday mornings.

Copper’s 40th season welcomes several new amenities and activities around the resort. Beginning in mid-November, guests can soar over West Lake on Copper’s newest attraction, the Alpine Rush Zip Line, or visit one of Copper’s recently added retail shops, Funky Finds Boutique & Gifts, 123 Mountain and Sunglass Express.
