To ensure your trip to Jackson comes to fruition, start planning now. Sitting on the Western border of Wyoming, the iconic destination is drivable for those in surrounding states and easily reached by air for skiers who reside a bit further away. The Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), located just 15 minutes from downtown Jackson. It’s served by major airlines including American, Delta, United, and Alaska Airlines, with direct flights from cities like Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York. From the airport, you can easily catch a ride into town via taxi, car rental or shuttle. If you want to hit the road to Jackson, it’s about a 5-hour drive from Salt Lake City or 8 hours from Denver.
Once in town, local buses provided by START (Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit) offer easy travel around town and connecting the town of Jackson with Teton Village and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (about 20 minutes away). Teh resort offers paid parking options at the village, but free parking is also available at the Stilson lot ( 7 miles away) with free shuttle transport to the hill. Carpooling is encouraged, and designated EV charging stations are available in both the Ranch and Village Lots, providing free charging for electric vehicle owners.
