Press Release by Valle Nevado Ski Resort:

Santiago, Chile — June 3, 2013 — Valle Nevado has announced that the resort will open three weeks earlier than scheduled due to several large storms that have recently dropped more than 80cm (2.7 feet) of fresh snow in the Andes. Beginning Saturday, June 8, skiers and snowboarders can visit Valle Nevado and enjoy all of the resort’s new-for-2013 services including Chile’s first resort gondola; the “Curve 17 Day Visitor Center” with equipment rental, ski school, cafes and stores; and new ski runs built especially for beginners. As well, getting to Valle Nevado has never been easier with the total renovation of the road from Santiago to the resort including new pavement and guardrails. Keep up with snow reports, news, special deals, photos and events by becoming a fan of Valle Nevado’s new Facebook page in English: www.facebook.com/ValleNevadoEnglish.

U.S. skiers and snowboarders who would like to spend the night at Valle Nevado between June 8 and June 28 can take advantage of special offers available with the resort’s “Condores” Apartments: Pay the regular rate for an apartment and receive 40% off on daily lift tickets. Apartment rates start at USD $211 per night for a studio and include maid service and daily breakfast at the Don Giovanni Restaurant. The resort’s hotels Tres Puntas, Puerta del Sol, and Valle Nevado will open formally on June 28 as previously planned, however the restaurants Bajo Zero, Slalom and the Bar Lounge will all be available for dining beginning Saturday.
