After delving into five-point sidecut ski design with last year’s 116-mm waisted Chapter, Faction expanded the line to include a 106 mm variation, the Faction Chapter 106 Skis, and our testers ate it up. The nimble sidecut had testers exclaiming, “turns on a dime,” and “so easy to initiate turns.” The platform is versatile enough to handle the everyday grind as well as those “six inches reported, skiing more like 10” days on the hill. It straddles the barrier separating stiff, stable performance and playfulness, thanks to a lively poplar and robust ash wood core.
