Völkl is adding a new “lightweight freeride” lineup of skis—the Blaze series—which aims to satisfy the needs of skiers bouncing between the resort and backcountry, and who want to do so with a single set of planks. Here, a multi-layer wood core, fiberglass laminate and a metal mounting plate make up the ski’s noticeably lightweight interior.
