Teva knows how to do more than just sandals and these boots are a great example. The Men’s Chair 5 and Women’s Jordanelle are lightweight, packable winter boots and essentially the same great model save for their gender-specific styling.

Teva’s heavy-duty rubber soles are designed to remain flexible when the temps dip below freezing, meaning you stay upright and your ass stays dry. The softshell uppers are seam-sealed to keep them fully waterproof and the gusseted tongue keeps the snow out. When it comes time to pack them away, the upper compresses right down to the rubber sole to save space.

Another great feature of these boots is the liner. It’s packed with 250 grams of Thinsulate LiteLoft insulation and is connected to the shell of the boot with a Velcro flap over the tongue and velcro behind the ankle. The liner has its own lite-duty rubber sole so when it comes time to head inside, simply pull the liner out and wear it as a booty around your house, cabin or whatever dwelling you choose. The floor stays dry and your foot stays warm.

The Men’s Chair 5 shell is about eight inches tall with a Velcro strap across the shin and the Women’s Jordanelle tops out around 10 inches with laces up to the top.
